GHOST BITCH tabbed by Chris Lawrence this song is pretty sparse in terms of actual predefined parts... ~~~Tunings~~~ Thurston: GGCCA#A# w/ a drumstick behind 12th fret LEFT SPEAKER Lee: EEBF#BE ? (acoustic) RIGHT SPEAKER Lee uses an acoustic guitar w/ a pickup for the mellow foghorn like feedback, followed by Thurston's explosive divebomb effects. I'm not 100% sure of Lee's tuning, but it probably doesn't really even matter.. it's all in the tone of the drone, baby. Thurston is just striking the strings for supersonic feedback... "YR THE FIRST DAY OF MY LIFE" Thurston just picks along w/ the drumbeat, striking a louder chord at the end of every bar (it sorta goes: dun dun dun dun DUN). Lee is just humming away.... when she sings "crouch down before the fire's light" right at the end, Lee gets a sound that sorta goes: E-------------- B-------------- F#---8b----9\-- B---slow ------ E---bend------- E-------------- for the Outro, Thurston just does wild feedback.... on live versions lee bangs a large gong-like device during the Outro, and that might be him doing that on the record, too. in any case, the Outro is more or less piercing feedback squeal. last updated: March 30th 2002
