EADEAE Pipe - Guitar tuning, chords & scales
EADEAE is an alternate tuning that offers some interesting sonic possibilities to guitarists. This somewhat unusual tuning was apparently discovered by English guitarist Martin Carthy who used it as a “pipe tuning”. Although the tuning can produce a droning sound that is useful for Celtic music it is a versatile tuning that has many uses. I have found that it works well even for delicate pretty pieces.
